Site Coordinator

30 hours/week – 12:00pm to 6:00pm
The Site Coordinator manages the day-to-day operations of leap at a single school location. This position reports to the Program Administrator and/or Program Director.

Qualifications

  • Must have complete 48 college units.
  • Prior experience in after-school setting and managerial role of at least 1 year.
 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Successfully incorporate the organization’s vision and mission into the daily activities of the site.
  • Fulfill position responsibilities as outlined in leap handbook.
  • Develop relationships that include the principal, classroom teachers, other school staff, students, and parents.
  • Actively participate in staff development workshops that are designed to contribute to personal and professional growth for self and site staff.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance.
  • Ensure that desired programmatic outcomes for children will be achieved.
  • Ensure a safe positive after-school learning environment for all children.
  • Plan, organize, and manage special events and showcases.
  • Organize supplies providing feasible accessibility, log inventory, report needed, missing, broken, or lost items.
  • Follow and enforce procedures and policies for operation of the afterschool program.
  • Establishes and maintains communication with members of the school staff about student needs and aspects of the afterschool program.
  • Maintains records needed for program administration.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
 

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage Team Leaders, volunteers, and youth workers.
 

Length of Employment

  • Employment for duration of school year.
 

Special Requirements

  • Have a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle insurance or access to same.
  • Will travel weekly to meetings.
  • English speaking/ bilingual preferred.
  • Active email account with ability to check daily.
  • Strong skill set in organization, time management, multitasking, delegation, and verbal/written communication.
  • Show willingness to work evenings, nights, and weekends.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
  • Must submit negative TB test.
  • CPR certified.
 

Performance Review

  • Evaluated by Program Administrator and Program Director.
  • Weekly evaluations of site and employee performance.
  • Formal quarterly evaluations.
