Waleed Cheema

Waleed Cheema, Program Manager, was born in Pakistan – raised in Alaska – and currently resides in LA. While pursuing his B.A. in Psychology, he found a job working with kids in the after-school realm and found it to be one of the most rewarding experiences of his young adulthood. After starting out as a Team Leader and working with individual students directly, he went on to become an Assistant Site Coordinator and from there he became a Site Coordinator. In this position, he had the opportunity to shape the minds of not only a few students, but an entire school of students.

Unfortunately he had to leave this position to further his education. He moved to Los Angeles in the fall of 2012 to attend the University of Southern California and pursue his M.S. in Human Behavior. After accepting a position doing business development for a law firm, he yearned to get back to where his passion lied; helping students grow and learn. Once he found leap, he knew he stumbled into something he could truly dig his hands in and feel as though he is making a difference. As Program Manager he finally got the opportunity to not only shape the minds of a school of students, but multiple schools of students. Seeing his energy and effort affect such a large number of kids was truly a fulfilling and satisfying feeling, and he is looking forward to continuing to pour his heart and mind into leap and deliver the most engaging experience for these students!
