Where your donation really goes
Federal reimbursement pays for meals that are served, documented, and fully compliant. It does not cover what makes those meals possible — staffing, compliance, onboarding new sites, technology, and the losses we absorb when meals are delivered but can't be claimed. That's where you come in.
New Sites
Outreach, enrollment support, and onboarding for qualifying sites in underserved neighborhoods — including our expansion into Nevada.
Training & Compliance
Sponsor-level training and compliance setup so site staff can serve meals safely and stay in good standing from day one.

Our proprietary platform and database — Your Universe for Meals — tracks every meal in real time and minimizes loss before it happens.
Absorbing Losses
In 2025, leap delivered 541,115 meals — and absorbed the cost of 23,891 of them (roughly $79,000) that fell outside reimbursement through no fault of the students who ate them. We eat that cost, so they don't.
A donated dollar doesn't feed a student once. Because federal dollars cover the food itself, your gift builds the pipeline that feeds that student every afternoon — for the entire program year, and every year after.
